On Wednesday, May 2nd Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) announced the winners of the 2012 Congressional Art Competition, and two DWS students were among those recognized.
Sophomore Abbie Hutchins placed second in the district-wide competition and junior Emily Murphy received honorable mention.
The competition was open to high school students from Georgia’s Second Congressional District. Students who participated in the competition will have their works on display at 235 West Roosevelt Avenue, Albany Towers, Suite 114 in Albany, Georgia until Friday, May 11, 2012. The works of art were judged by a panel of three independent judges.
