Three DWS alumnae competed in the 2012 Miss Georgia pageant. Carly Mathis '09, Miss Georgia Cotton, was awarded 1st runner-up to Miss Georgia and the over-all talent award for the pageant, as well as winning her talent preliminary on Friday night. She was also awarded the Davis Laney Scholarship for Legal Studies. Reedi Hawkins '09, Miss Savannah River, won her talent preliminary on Thursday night, as well as a non-finalist talent award. Alexa Turpin '07 also competed as Miss Golden Isles. Congratulations!
