• The DWS Annual Fund is the foundation of all giving at DWS and the most important fundraising activity of the year.
• Outside of tuition, your money has its greatest impact on the school through the Annual Fund, because a dollar to this fund is a dollar to the school.
• Tuition only covers about 80% of the cost of running our school.
  • A strong Annual Fund dampens the need for tuition increases.
  • Annual Fund gifts are tax-deductible but tuition increases are not.
• Donors may restrict their AF gifts to specific programs however we encourage unrestricted giving so the school has the flexibility to put funds where they are needed most.
• Donors may make a pledge now and choose to split up payments for ease and convenience. We only ask that all pledges be paid in full by June 2013, the end of our fiscal year.
• Foundations and outside organizations consider the level of parent participation as a measure of a school’s health and well-being. We are striving for 100% parent participation!
• A gift for any amount helps our school. Every donor and every dollar is important!
