Extended Day: Fun, Flexible, and Enriching
Deerfield-Windsor School’s Extended Day Program provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for Lower and Middle School students beyond the regular school day. The supportive atmosphere students experience in the classroom continues after dismissal, offering opportunities for academic support, creative exploration and meaningful social interaction.
Lower School Programs
Stay & Play
Students enjoy a balance of supervised indoor and outdoor play, homework time and structured activities. Pre-Kindergarten students also have a designated rest period as part of their afternoon routine.
Exploration Classes
Available to students in Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, these after-school enrichment opportunities allow students to discover new interests, develop talents and explore a variety of hobbies through engaging, hands-on classes.
Middle School Program
Middle School students benefit from a supervised and structured environment that supports:
- Homework completion and study time
- Academic enrichment
- Social interaction with peers
- Growth in independence and personal responsibility

The program is available for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.
When is Extended Day offered?
Extended Day follows the school calendar and is available until 5:30 p.m. each school day.
How do I register my child?
Families may enroll by completing the online Registration Form.
Can my child attend Extended Day if they miss school?
No. Students who are absent from school or who check out early are not eligible to attend Extended Day on that day.
Extended Day Closures
Extended Day is not offered on the following days:
- Grandparents Day
- Christmas Program
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Field Day
- Last Day of School
