The STEAM curriculum provides an opportunity for every student to develop their creative problem solving skills. The STEAM class is a supportive environment where failure is a part of the process and not the end result. Students learn to solve problems creatively, persevere and to recover when activities do not go as planned. Often the end result is better than the preconceived solution! STEAM provides the opportunity to use hands on exploration and group collaboration. Students practice thinking outside the box, develop higher level thinking skills and gain confidence with their personal learning style. Fifth grade students have STEAM with the computer teacher. During their STEAM time, they work on coding, robotics, and broadcasting using our new green screen.
