Applying to DWS

Students are admitted to Deerfield-Windsor on the basis of their educational record/transcript, teacher recommendations, academic testing, and observation or interview. The admission process begins October 1st when the online application for the upcoming school year opens.

Steps to apply for K3 through 12th grade:

  1. Complete the online application. You must register as a user to begin the process.
  2. Submit previous educational record/transcripts, if applicable.
  3. Submit appropriate teacher recommendation forms.
  4. Schedule and complete the admission assessment and campus evaluation visit.

Admissions testing is typically conducted during the winter months; however, alternative testing dates may be arranged when needed.

Enrollment opportunities are most commonly available in K3, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 6th Grade, and 9th Grade, when class sections are expanded. Limited openings may also be available in other grade levels based on enrollment and space availability.

Because of graduation requirements and course sequencing, 11th and 12th Grades are generally not entry points for new students. Exceptions may be considered for families relocating to the Albany area.
