Deerfield-Windsor Honor Scholarships are merit-based academic awards presented to new Middle School and Upper School students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, character, and a commitment to service. We seek curious, creative thinkers who embrace challenges, think critically, and strive to make a positive impact on their communities.

Students who will be entering Grades 6–11 for the upcoming school year are eligible to apply. Scholarship awards remain in effect throughout the student's time in the applicable division, provided strong academic performance and exemplary conduct are maintained. For example, a scholarship awarded in 6th Grade continues through 8th Grade, while a scholarship awarded in 9th Grade continues through 12th Grade.

The number and value of scholarships awarded vary each year based on the strength of the applicant pool. Eligible applicants must be rising 6th–8th graders for Middle School scholarships or rising 9th–11th graders for Upper School scholarships. Current Honor Scholarship recipients and siblings of former recipients are not eligible to apply.

All applicants must be present for scholarship testing, which will be held in early 2027. Personal interviews may be required and will be scheduled separately.

The Cannon Family Scholarships are named in honor of Chris Cannon and his family in recognition of their longstanding generosity and support of Deerfield-Windsor School.

Two non-renewable, half-tuition scholarships are awarded annually to current DWS students in Grades 9, 10, and 11 who have attended the school for at least one year.

While academic achievement, character, and involvement in extracurricular activities are considered, the primary basis for selection is a student-written essay completed in a supervised setting. Applicants must submit a scholarship application and participate in the essay-writing process.

Recipients are selected by the Scholarship Committee and announced each school year.

The Charles Fussell Scholarship was established by family and friends in memory of Charles Fussell, a member of the Deerfield-Windsor School Class of 1981. Although his life was cut short in 2003, Charles left a lasting impact on those who knew him through his character, integrity, and spirit.

Each year, this scholarship is awarded to a rising 11th-grade student who exemplifies the qualities and values that Charles embodied. The recipient is selected based on character, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the school community.

The Ken Rodgers Scholarship was established in memory of Ken Rodgers, a member of the Deerfield-Windsor School Class of 1976. Ken passed away while attending college, but his legacy continues through this scholarship created by his friends to honor his life and the qualities that made him special.

Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a rising Deerfield-Windsor senior who exemplifies Ken’s spirit, enthusiasm, kindness, and friendship. Through this award, the energy, character, and positive influence that Ken brought to those around him are celebrated and carried forward by each recipient.

The Graham Lowe Scholarship honors the legacy of Graham Lowe, the first Headmaster of Deerfield School and a foundational figure in the history of Deerfield-Windsor School. Through his leadership, vision, and lifelong commitment to the school, Coach Lowe and his family have made a lasting impact on generations of Knights.

The scholarship is awarded annually to a rising junior or senior who is actively involved in at least one school activity, demonstrates strong character and leadership, and maintains a satisfactory academic record. The recipient reflects the spirit of engagement, service, and dedication that Graham Lowe inspired throughout the Deerfield-Windsor community
