The C. Z. “Bobo” Webb Memorial Award

The Deerfield-Windsor Booster Club annually presents a Scholar-Athlete Award to a graduating senior in memory of “Bobo” Webb. This award is in recognition of Mr. Webb’s enthusiasm and great love, devotion, and support of Deerfield-Windsor School.

The qualifications are as follows:

  • Six athletic letters earned in a GHSA sponsored sport
  • Two of these letters must be earned during the senior year
  • Recipient must exhibit leadership and citizenship
  • The recipient must have the highest GPA of the possible candidates

Athlete of the Year

The Deerfield-Windsor School Athlete of the Year shall be that senior boy or girl selected by the coaches as the one who, barring injury, has participated in three varsity sports, excelled to achieve recognition beyond team membership, demonstrated a spirit of cooperation and leadership, and who has proven himself or herself to be scholastically conscientious and socially responsible.

Byers Morris Service Award

The Byers Morris DWS Service Award is presented to a student who shows exemplary service to the Deerfield-Windsor School Athletic Program. This student exhibits the spirit and characteristics of Byers Morris by going above and beyond the call of duty to the athletic department

David Mullins Memorial Scholarship

Established in loving memory of David Mullins, DWS Class of 2024, this scholarship honors his loyalty, positive spirit, athleticism, creativity, and lasting impact on his school, teammates, and friends. The scholarship is awarded to a graduating male senior who exemplifies these qualities, is a four-year varsity letter recipient, and plans to attend a four-year academic institution. Beginning with the Class of 2027, recipients must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Spirit of the Knight Award

The Spirit of the Knight Award, given by the Goodpasture family, honors a cheerleader who exemplifies outstanding dedication, leadership and school spirit. This individual consistently uplifts their team, demonstrates a strong work ethic and embodies the heart and pride of the Knight—both on and off the field.

In recognition of these qualities, the recipient will also receive a scholarship to support their continued education at DWS. This award celebrates not only athletic excellence, but also the character, positivity, and lasting impact of a true Knight.
