As part of our school's ongoing commitment to wellness, both physical and emotional, you are invited to a parent assembly on Monday, January 27th: Preventing Drug Related Tragedies.
Many families lives have been changed forever by the drug overdose epidemic in our country. During the assembly you will hear the tragic story of one of these families: Angela and Mike O'Kelley. Angela and Mike lost their son, Jack O'Kelley, to accidental fentanyl poisoning on Thanksgiving morning. They are now bravely sharing his story. Through collaborative Drug Awareness Programs with law enforcement, HIDTA Agents, and aligned non-profit organizations, the Jack O'Kelley Foundation strives to prevent drug-related tragedies to save lives.
We invite ALL interested parents to join us on Monday, January 27th, at 6 pm in the Henry Gym for this very important informational session. It's our hope that Angela's and Mike's message will help you feel informed and empowered as we strive to navigate this important topic. Please note this event is for adults only. All parents are invited and strongly encouraged to attend regardless of the age of your child.
Please RSVP to lauren.ray@deerfieldwindsor.
