5th Grade Visits State Capitol

Georgia Court of Appeals Judge Ken Hodges hosted the fifth graders at the Georgia State Capitol on Wednesday, January 15. Students observed the State Senate and House in session. They met Governor Brian Kemp and Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan. They also got to discuss our state government with numerous state representatives including Sen. Freddie Powell Sims, Attorney General Christopher Michael Carr and Court of Appeals Chief Judge Christopher J. McFadden. It was very exciting to meet Georgia Supreme Court Justices Harold D. Melton and Sarah H. Warren.
